Privacy Policy

Meadow exists to give you a calm, clear picture of your money — and that only works if you can trust us with it. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What data Meadow collects

When you create a Meadow account, we collect the basics: your name, email address, and password. If you choose to connect a bank account, we also receive transaction data — merchant names, amounts, dates, and categories — so Meadow can do its job of tracking and organizing your spending.

We also collect limited usage information, such as which features you use and how often, so we can understand what’s working and improve the product. We do not collect more than we need, and we never ask for information that isn’t necessary to run the service.

How bank connections work

Meadow connects to your bank through trusted, regulated data providers using read-only access. That means Meadow can see your transactions to categorize them, but it can never move money, make payments, or change anything in your accounts.

Your bank credentials are never stored on Meadow’s servers. Authentication happens directly between you, your bank, and the connection provider, using bank-level encryption throughout. You can disconnect any account at any time from your settings, which immediately stops data syncing.

Data sharing and selling

Meadow does not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone — full stop. Your financial information exists in Meadow for one purpose: showing you where your money goes.

We share data only with the service providers we need to operate (such as secure cloud hosting and the bank connection providers described above), and only the minimum required. These providers are contractually bound to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes.

Cookies

Meadow uses a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used in aggregate. We do not use cookies to follow you around the internet or build advertising profiles.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of Meadow from working, such as staying signed in.

Your rights

Your data belongs to you. At any time, you can request a copy of the information Meadow holds about you, ask us to correct anything that’s inaccurate, or ask us to delete your account and its data entirely.

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems promptly and from backups on a scheduled cycle, except where we’re legally required to retain certain records. To exercise any of these rights, just email us — no forms, no hoops.
